Welcome to Fort-de-France, a city that combines beach, culture and history.

Here are the three "hot spots" that we recommend:

 - La Française beach. The redevelopment of the seaside and the beach, completed in 2005-2006, helped revitalize the tourist site. The Flemish bay of Fort-de-France has been admitted among the most beautiful in the world by the World Travel Market in London!

 - Visit of Fort Saint Louis. This historical monument is a naval base in activity, seat of the high command of the National Navy for the Antilles-Guiana area. The impressive "Vauban" construction attracts walkers and visitors from the waterfront.

 - Saint-Louis Cathedral Unmistakable, this cathedral, which was built by Pierre-Henri Picq, erected its 58 m high spire in rue Victor-Schœlcher since 1895. This metal frame building, the sixth to rise on this site, was designed to resist the raging elements, thanks to the materials used (reinforced concrete and cast iron). You will gain to push the door to discover a bright interior, remarkable for its volumes, where one finds still elements of the end of the 19th century.
